Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Cupcake liners
  • Colored sprinkles and holiday-themed decorations

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in between until fully incorporated.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour.
  • Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners and fill each cavity about two-thirds full with batter.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Decorate the cooled cupcakes with frosting and holiday-themed decorations.
