Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • In an oven-safe skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add seasoned chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet. Sear until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken and nestle trimmed asparagus around it in the skillet.
  • Drizzle lemon juice over the chicken and asparagus.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
