Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute before removing from heat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread crumbs, ground turkey, cooked onion and garlic mixture, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the vegetable broth gradually, mixing until the mixture is moistened but not too wet. You may not need all the broth.
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl, then add it to the mixture.
  • Form the mixture into balls about 1½ inches in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake the stuffing balls for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
