Sushi Wonton Cones for a Creative Twist on Sushi

Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 oz sushi-grade fish like tuna or salmon
  • ½ avocado sliced
  • ½ cucumber julienned
  • Nori sheets cut into small strips
  • Soy sauce for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions.
  • Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a bowl, and gently fold into the cooked rice.
  • Shape the wonton wrappers into cones.
  • Bake the wonton cones for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Fill each cone with sushi rice, fish, avocado, and cucumber.
  • Add nori strips as desired and garnish with sesame seeds.
  • Serve with soy sauce on the side for dipping.
